Disability Employment Services

Disability Employment Services (DES) is a program that operates separately  from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), however it complements it by assisting individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment. DES aims to guide people with disabilities in coming into the body of workers, growing their competencies for employment, and providing ongoing support to ensure job retention and success.

DES companies offer a number of employment-associated services and supports, including job search assistance, vocational training, resume building, interview preparation, and on-the-job support. The program caters to the needs and skills of every individual, assisting them overcome boundaries to employment and providing ongoing help to achieve certain task retention and success.

Participants in the NDIS can also be eligible for Disability Employment Services in the event that they have employment-associated goals and require specialised help to go into or keep employment.
